Yeah, I agree that the article follows the familiar pattern of criticising the man, while failing to interrogate the women’s behavour. For example, The Verge article says he was “running online forums where many women believed their participation was dependent on looks and availability”. OK, so why did those women continue to participate? My guess is that they wanted to gain the benefits of his support and mentorship, and were willing to participate under those circumstances in order to gain that benefit.
Awesome. I missed you! There wasn’t — and still isn’t a lot of good feminist critique that doesn’t simply veer over into the other ditch and is angrily misogynist.

It might be more sinister than that now. Its certainly a great thing that women who are attacked and preyed upon have a much stronger position to speak up and seek justice now than they ever did. However that has come with the side effect of women also knowing that they can take advantage of the benefits you mention but then as soon things don’t go their way they can take their revenge or perhaps gain even more benefits (and by gain benefits look at Amber Heard who falsely accused Depp of abuse and got so much sympathy that she has gotten a free pass on abusing him; hell Depp has been punished more than she has).
