Earlier this year I was pointed towards YouTuber noelplum99 by a fellow redditor, and I’ve been following him ever since. I really like his straightforward, analytical breakdown of some of the myths and confabulations that contaminate too much of social justice discourse, and that he approaches his topics in a fairly progressive way that avoids the strident vilification you find in too many of the videos by ‘anti-SJWs’.
This is apparently his first direct take on “the wage gap” (though he has referred to it in other videos), and it’s worth watching.
It’ always nice to find someone who makes calm and reasoned arguments. Have you seen TL;DR’s videos? I’d imagine you have given his relative popularity, but I thought I’d ask given that I rather enjoy his statistics driven arguments. He can be somewhat harsh towards those he is criticizing, especially in his older videos, but he very much relies on the data at hand, going so far as to delve into study methodology and raw data.
Welcome to the blog, Korin. I think this recent TL;DR video (which I liked) was the first one of his that I watched all he way through. I tried a couple of his earlier ones, but got turned off by his strong ‘anti-left’ rhetoric (something I found is unfortunately common among many MRAs and one of the reasons I don’t identify as an MRA). But I did like that one — frankly it reminded me of the kinds of things we did a lot of here — and if he’s dialed back his ‘anti-leftism’ I’ll have to keep an eye out for his future videos.

Anyway, he definitely could be very vitriolic in his earlier works and as a result I haven’t watched many of them. Fortunately, he has dialed that back a fair bit in his more recent videos. There are still moments where I think he is being overly harsh, but overall his statistics-driven analysis now outweighs those moments for me. I’d recommend checking out one of his most recent videos, “Birth Control Jab for Men”. In it he discusses how both sides in that recent controversy were blowing things out of proportion by analyzing the study and its data. His series on the drug known as Addy is also rather interesting, although the first couple videos in that are some of his older works. I would note that he doesn’t identify as an MRA and occasionally he makes videos responding to or criticizing various MRAs and MGTOWs, although I’m not sure how he identifies politically.
